Why do old women have hairy lips? why do some old women have really hairy lips? Do you think they realise it's there and does every woman get this when they get older? | At birth, women are born with all the eggs they will ever need to reproduce and at a certain age women have dropped all those eggs out of their bodies and begin what's known as menopause. After many years of losing estrogen, some women need to take estrogen or testosterone shots to balance things out. Yes, testosterone is a male hormone, but women have it too in very small amounts, the body needs a balance of both. The women who have a hairy upper lips are just facing a side effect of the testosterone and I'm certain they know about it. Once you get a certain age, you really don't care how you look because you're really not trying to impress anyone either you're already married or you've lost your spouse, so looks aren't as important as family.
Not every woman gets this, not every woman will need the shots, but a big majority do, so it just depends. | My friend says Vaseline makes your lips hairy? "Waxing - this is a method of semi-permanent hair removal which removes the hair from the root. New hairs will not grow back in the previously waxed area for two to eight weeks. When hair is shaved or removed by depilatory cream, the hair is removed at the surface rather than the root and they grow back more visible cause the end that comes out is blunt and no longer tapered -- giving it a darker/stiffer stubble. A word of caution tho: Waxing can be painful when the strip is removed from the skin. Although the pain is short-lasting, it can be very uncomfortable.
Threading - this is an ancient method of hair removal which originated in India, practiced in the Middle and Far East, and is now gaining popularity in Western countries. hin, twisted cotton threads are rolled over untidy hairlines, moustaches and so on, plucking the offending hair.
Practitioners use a pure cotton thread. They generally twist the hair and threading pulls out a whole row of hair, as opposed to tweezing where only one single hair is pulled out. Threading is often preferred to tweezing because of the naturally straight lines of hair removed by the thread. It is pulled out from the follicle. ike other methods of hair removal such as plucking or waxing, threading can result in skin irritation and ingrown hairs, however, hair re-growth becomes finer and more sparse after regular treatments. Unlike waxing, threading does not peel or traumatize the top layers of skin so it an excellent option for those who have sensitive skin and who use Retin-A, Accutane, and similar products.
Bleaching - Bleaching does not actually remove the hair. It lightens the hair colour so it appears blonde or golden. Several highlights of hair bleach make it an appealing choice for some women - it is accessible, quick and, best of all, painless. All hair bleach kits come with two essential components: the actual hair bleach mixture, which is most often in cream form, and the activator mixture, which is always in powder form. The upside: cheap, easy, and painless. Just make sure you do a patch test first to see if you're allergic to the chemicals or not."
